Schedule a VA national cemetery burial
Time-of-need request to bury a veteran, spouse, or eligible dependent in a VA national cemetery. Pre-need letters do not reserve a gravesite. Arlington and state or tribal cemeteries are separate.
Who it is for. Other-than-dishonorable discharge for the qualifying service. Spouse and some dependent burials also qualify.
Bring. DD-214 or other accepted discharge paper. Fax 866-900-6417 or email [email protected], then call to confirm.
Timing. Call the National Cemetery Scheduling Office at 800-535-1117 (TTY 711), Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. ET.
